IPL 2023
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a cricket league in India that happens every year. This year it’s the 16th season and is sponsored by TATA. The league is run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). For the last four years, the league had to be held at neutral venues because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year it has returned to its original format where teams play at their home and away grounds. In addition, “fan parks” are being set up in 45 cities so people can enjoy the matches together. There is also an opening ceremony, which is the first time it has happened since the pandemic began.
